Steelers Sign Rookie OG David DeCastro

The Pittsburgh Steelers have reached a deal with their first-round pick in 2012 NFL Draft, offensive guard David DeCastro out of Stanford. DeCastro's deal is reportedly worth $7.814 million over four years. He was selected No. 24 overall in April.

With the signing, the Steelers now have all of their rookies under contract. That's no doubt a relief for fans with training camp set to begin Wednesday. Adam Caplan reports that 23 rookies remain unsigned, eight of them first round picks.

DeCastro was a first-team All Pac-12 selection in 2010 and 2011. He was also a unanimous All-American last season. He decided to forego his senior year to enter the NFL Draft.

The Steelers gave up 42 sacks last season, tied for ninth-most with the Denver Broncos. They ranked 11th averaging 4.4 yards per carry in the running game.
