Vikings, Bengals Sign Their 3rd Round Picks

Stay connected with SB Nation

Just a few rookies remain to be signed as the Minnesota Vikings and the Cincinnati Bengals both signed their third round picks in the 2012 NFL Draft on Wednesday. The Vikings signed cornerback Josh Robinson out of Central Florida to a four-year deal while the Bengals inked defensive tackle Brandon Thompson out of Clemson.

With Robinson in the fold, the Vikings have just No. 4 overall pick Matt Kalil left to sign from the 2012 draft class with training camp set to open Thursday. Robinson, on the other hand, should able to show up on day one. He looks to help a beleaguered secondary that was 26th in the league in total passing defense and tied for dead last with just eight interceptions on the year.

Thompson recorded 2.5 sacks and a forced fumble among his 46 tackles last season with the Tigers. Mocking The Draft was extremely high on his potential in March, but noted that the big man needed to work on his stamina and technique.
