Justin Blackmon is the only remaining unsigned draft pick but that won't be lasting long. Vito Stellino of the Florida Times-Union reports Blackmon has agreed to terms with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He's expected to sign the contract as soon as Tuesday, making it all official.
SB Nation's Big Cat Country reports the Jaguars were seeking future protection in the contract in the instance Blackmon encounters more off the field issues down the road.
Blackmon is the last draft pick to agree to terms. Kendall Wright, the second to last draft pick to sign, inked a deal last week so we've been waiting on Blackmon's deal for a while now. As it stands, he'll miss over a week of Jaguars training camp which makes it even more important that he's in camp as soon as possible. Blackmon has a real chance to contribute early for the Jaguars but his training camp holdout will hurt those chances of early contributions.
While the Blackmon saga will soon be over, the Maurice Jones-Drew story still dominates the headlines in Jacksonville. With two years remaining on his current deal, MJD is holding out from Jaguars training camp and there is no end in sight.
