Redskins Free Agency 2012: Fred Davis, LaRon Landry Set To Become Free Agents

Tight end Fred Davis, inside linebacker London Fletcher and safety LaRon Landry are three key players on the Washington Redskins who are eligible for unrestricted free agency this off-season. All three have considerable warts for the front office to consider.

Fletcher has been a tackling machine for the Redskins and is coming off a Pro Bowl season, but turns 37 in May. Landry was playing at an All-Pro level and likely would have already signed a contract extension had he avoided the injuries that have limited him to just 17 games over the last two seasons. Davis had a breakout season in 2011, but that was cut short by a four-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network reports that Davis could receive the franchise tag, which is projected to be worth around $5.5 million in 2012.
