Free agent quarterback Matt Flynn isn't getting quite as much attention on the open market as some thought he would. Flynn, the former Green Bay Packers QB, has visited the Seattle Seahawks. According to ESPN, Flynn's next stop will be Miami, where the Dolphins hopes of landing Peyton Manning are "dwindling."
Flynn's former offensive coordinator in Green Bay, Joe Philbin, happens to be the Dolphins' new head coach. Philbin knows Flynn better than anyone, so he should have the best assessment of what the former LSU signal-caller can do for the franchise. Absent Manning, Flynn is the best available quarterback on the market. It's clear the Dolphins are intent on adding a quarterback, even if that's not Manning.
Flynn's only known suitors at this point are the Seahawks and Dolphins, with Seattle being his only visit. Pre-free agency speculation connected Flynn to the Cleveland Browns, but they were apparently never interested.
