The New York Jets are trying to bring back defensive lineman Sione Pouha without having to place the franchise tag on him. The Jets are not expected to use the franchise tag on Pouha, which could mean a deal between the two sides could come later today, prior to the 4 p.m. ET deadline for using the franchise tender. The seven-year veteran has been with the Jets since his rookie season in 2005.
