The Seattle Seahawks will be in on the Peyton Manning sweepstakes. Shortly before Manning was officially released this week, reports surfaced that the Seahawks were ready to spend and do what it takes to land Manning.
Now that Manning is a free agent, reports state that the Seahawks will do just that. The Seattle Times cites a team source who says the Seahawks will be involved in the pursuit of Manning.
Manning said during Wednesday's news conference that he hasn't thought about his next team, but that can't be true. He's given it some thought, and I wouldn't be surprised if the Seahawks were on the short list. They're an attractive team with a good home crowd, decent weather throughout the year, a good running game and, most importantly, an owner (Paul Allen) who has plenty of money.
