The Kansas City Chiefs are one of the dozen teams connected to Peyton Manning and his free agency tour and it sounds like KC's interest is very real. Chiefs owner Clark Hunt talked with Darren Rovell on NBC Sports Network, an interview that will air on Friday night, and confirmed that the Chiefs have an interest in Manning.
"He's one of the greatest players in the history of the league," Hunt said. "He's also an incredible person. We feel really good about the team we have in Kansas City going into the 2012 season, but we'll look for any opportunity to improve and, of course, that includes Peyton Manning."
There was a report that the Chiefs had offered Manning a contract but several other reports have shot that down. Hunt declined to address whether that was accurate.

Having an interest in Manning is one thing but he has to have an interest in you, too. The Chiefs have a decent case for Manning with a good running back in Jamaal Charles, No. 1 receiver in Dwayne Bowe and a rising defense.
Manning is scheduled to visit the Broncos on Friday night and other reports say he could visit the Cardinals and Dolphins. He reportedly wants to make a decision by Tuesday.
