Patriots Players On 'Incredible Feeling' Of Returning To Super Bowl

The New England Patriots needed Billy Cundiff to miss a field goal in order to advance past the AFC Championship and onto the Super Bowl in regulation on Sunday, but that wasn't on the mind of the players following their victory. Instead, the majority of the team wanted to talk about returning to the Super Bowl once again.

The Patriots have been to the Super Bowl three times in the past 11 seasons, meaning this isn't the first rodeo for a few of the returners. Not surprisingly, some of the veterans were asked what it means to be returning to the big game once again following Sunday's victory.

"The taste and the victory and the whole nine [yards]. When you get an opportunity to do it again - it's incredible. It's an incredible feeling," offensive lineman Matt Light told the media. "It will take a while to sink in that we're going [to the Super Bowl] and then it will be a heck of a week of preparation as always, but this is what we fought hard for all year to have an opportunity to get to the Super Bowl. We'll see how it goes from there."

Wide receiver Deion Branch is also making another trip to the Super Bowl with the Patriots after being named the Super Bowl MVP in 2004.

"It's great. That's why I came back to this place," Branch said. "That's why I'm very thankful for the opportunity to be a part of something like this. It's very special."
