Super Bowl MVP Odds Start With Tom Brady, Eli Manning

It should come as little surprise that quarterbacks Tom Brady and Eli Manning have emerged as the betting favorites to win the Super Bowl XLVI MVP. According to Bovada, New England Patriots QB Brady is the overwhelming favorite at 13/10. The New York Giants' Manning is a going off at 9/4.

After them, the odds get much longer, and interesting. Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski presents an intriguing option at 8/1, but even if he plays as expected, it will be with an injured ankle. Fellow Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez could be poised for a big game, especially if Gronkowski is hobbled, and he's at 15/1.

Starting running backs are usually pretty good bets, but considering this game lacks a classic No. 1, it's not hugely surprising that all of them are opening at pretty long odds. The Giants' Ahmad Bradshaw and the Patriots' BenJarvus Green-Ellis are both at 22/1. Brandon Jacobs, it's worth noting, is way down at 35/1. The defensive player with the lowest odds is Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul at 30/1.
