Read More: Tom Brady (QB - NEP), Rob Gronkowski (TE - NEP), New England Patriots, New York Giants
Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis keeps drawing closer and closer. While the New York Giants players continue to improve and get healthier, one important member of the New England Patriots offense continues to tread water, or at the very least, give few outward impressions of improvement.
Patriots star tight end Rob Gronkowski, who injured his ankle in the AFC Championship Game, was once again out of New England's practice session on Wednesday, according to Albert Breer of the NFL Network. Gronkowski is no longer in a protective boot, but there is still no definitive word on whether we will be playing on Super Bowl Sunday. With only two practices remaining before the game, Patriots fans may be biting their nails.
Gronkowski has made comments in the past two weeks that indicate he's going to do everything in his power to attempt to be a part of the biggest sporting event of the year. It would definitely be good news for the Giants, however, if one of Tom Brady's favorite targets was out of action on Sunday.
