2012 Super Bowl Prop Bets: David Tyree's 2008 Catch

Davis Tyree will not be playing for the New York Giants this time when they take on the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl on Sunday. We all know what happened last time, however, when Tyree made the circus catch to end all circus catches, keeping the Giants' game-winning drive alive as they shocked the heavily-favored Pats to win the game.

But just because Tyree's career is long over doesn't mean he won't play a part in this year's game. Televison announcers need familiar reference points to hook audiences in and, eventually, beat them over the head with. And there is arguably no greater reference point than Tyree's catch.

And since this is the Super Bowl and we need as many things to bet on as possible, you shouldn't be too surprised that you can bet on how many times David Tyree's catch will be shown on TV during the game.

If you can believe it, 1.5 times is the over/under mark, which seems ridiculously low. SB Nation NY's Jared Smith takes the over and don't look back.

It's happening at least once, so you need to ask yourself: "If the game is even somewhat close in the fourth quarter will NBC Producer show the clip again?" Of course. Take the over!
