Super Bowl 2012 Score Update: Tom Brady Stays Hot, Extends Patriots Lead

Tom Brady got the New England Patriots the lead in Super Bowl XLVI just before halftime with a masterful touchdown drive. He extended the lead with another great drive to begin the second half, finding Aaron Hernandez for his second touchdown pass of the day to extend New England's lead to 17-9 in the 2012 Super Bowl.

Brady, 10-for-10 for 98 yards on the second quarter drive, went to work again on the 79-yard touchdown drive, throwing to Chad Ochocinco, Wes Welker, and Hernandez and getting help from BenJarvus Green-Ellis to gut the Giants. Finding Hernandez in single coverage was child's play to end the drive.

Brady has now completed his last 15 passes, a new Super Bowl record for consecutive completions that breaks the previous record of 13 set by Joe Montana.
