Brian Waters Will Consider Retirement After Super Bowl Loss

Stay connected with SB Nation

Fresh of his first Super Bowl appearance, New England Patriots guard Brian Waters is apparently considering retirement. The six-time Pro Bowler will make a decision sometime in the next 2-3 weeks, according to Shalise Manza Young of the Boston Globe.

If Waters were to walk away, he'd be doing so after at the top of his game. He's currently due to make $1.5 million next year and is coming off a season in which he started all 16 regular-season games and was a major reason that Tom Brady was able to enjoy the best passing year of his career.

Arrowhead Pride, who knows Waters well after he spent most of his career with the Kansas City Chiefs, seems to think Waters will give it at least one more year.
