The 2012 Winter X Games will air live on the ESPN family of networks starting on Thursday.
Jan 23, 2012 - The 2012 Winter X Games will return to Colorado's Buttermilk Mountain for an 11th straight year on Thursday. Included among the athletes are some of the biggest names in extreme sports, including Shaun White, Kazuhiro Kokubo and Kelly Clark.
As this is a competition created by ESPN, all of the events will be broadcast on one of their many outlets. Most of the competition will air on ESPN3, but ESPN, ESPN2 and even ABC will cover much of it live as well.
Also of note, this is the first big event since the passing of freestyle skier Sarah Burke, who died from complications related to a crash during a training run.
