There was a scary moment during the Men's Ski SuperPipe Final at the 2012 Winter X Games on Saturday. Justin Dorey went up the halfpipe for a grab, but didn't quite get the air he was expecting to pull off the trick. When he came down, his body hit and scraped against the concrete-hard lip of the pipe.
Video after the jump:
Luckily, Dorey was able to walk away from the crash, though he was holding his right arm gingerly afterwards. There is no word yet on whether he sustained any serious injuries, though he was attended to for a few minutes at the bottom of the pipe. At a glance it seems things turned out much better than they could have.
David Wise won the men's superpipe with a score of 93.00.
