At seven-under through 13 holes, Nick O'Hern has taken over the Frys.com Open lead.
The first round of the 2012 Frys.com Open is in full swing, and while Jhonattan Vegas had the first-round lead for much of the day, Nick O'Hern has taken over as the current leader.
O'Hern is seven-under through his first 13 holes, one stroke ahead of Vegas, who posted a six-under 65. The 40-year-old O'Hern parred his first three holes but has birdied seven of his last 10 to jump into the lead. These two are just ahead of a group of five players tied for third place at five-under. Nicolas Colsaerts, Jonas Blixt and D.A. Points are among the group at five-under. Like O'Hern, all three players are still on the course.
While those players battle for the first round lead, a few other notable names did not get off to good starts. John Daly is currently tied for 126th place at five-over through 17 holes. Ricky Barnes and Trevor Immelman finished three-over on the day and currently sit in a tie for 110th place.
