Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Chris Carter is questionable to return to Thursday night's game against the Tennessee Titans after suffering a hamstring injury.
Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Chris Carter sustained a hamstring injury in the first quarter of Thursday night's game against the Tennessee Titans and his return to the field is questionable.
The report, from Dale Lolley of The Observer-Reporter of Washington, Pa., came via Twitter as the Steelers ended the first quarter with a 10-6 lead.
Carter is a two-year pro out of Fresno State that had seen more playing time of late with the absence of defensive stalwart James Harrison, who returned to action in Pittsburgh's Week 5 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Prior to Week 6, Carter had started in three games, recording two solo tackles, four assisted tackles and one pass defensed for the season.
Defensively, Pittsburgh ranks 17th in the league in points allowed, giving up 22.2 points per game entering Week 6. In total yards allowed, the 280 yards per game that the Steelers give up ranks 28th in the NFL.
