Jeff Hanisch-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings will miss Green Bay's Week 6 game at the Houston Texans.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings, who has been dealing with a groin injury for most of the season, will miss his team's Week 6 game against the Houston Texans.

Jennings first suffered the injury during the Week 1 loss against the San Francisco 49ers. He sat out Green Bay's Week 2 win over the Chicago Bears and returned for the Week 3 loss at the Seattle Seahawks. Jennings aggravated the injury during the Week 4 win against the Saints, and he hasn't been able to run full speed since. The six-year veteran out of Western Michigan sat out last week's loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

Jennings is on pace to have his worst season as an NFL receiver. So far this year, he has 12 catches for 78 yards and one touchdown, averaging 26 yards per game. In his career, Jennings has compiled fewer than 920 yards in a season just once -- 632 in his rookie 2006-07 campaign.

The Packers and Texans kick off from Reliant Stadium at 7:20 p.m. ET on Sunday, Oct. 14. The game will be televised by NBC.
