Missouri tight end Eric Waters was taken from the field on a stretcher after suffering from an apparent head or neck injury in the game's waning moments.

Update: Eric Waters underwent a MRI and CT scan after the game.

With just around a minute left to play in the Alabama Crimson Tide's 48-10 victory over the Missouri Tigers, Missouri tight end Eric Waters was carted off of the field with an apparent head or neck injury.

Waters, a junior out of Mansfield, Texas, was tackled out of bounds after a reception before landing awkwardly on his back, causing his head to bounce off of the turf at Faurot Field. For several minutes, he laid on the sidelines, immobile, as team trainers and doctors attended to him.

As Waters was being given medical attention, the game was allowed to resume. Alabama regained possession of the ball and took a knee to wind out the clock. Upon the contests' conclusion, Waters was able to be placed on a stretcher and removed from the field.

The nature or extent of his injuries are not yet known.
