All is not lost, hockey fans. We've got a group of scrappy kids that are here to give you a hockey fix in your time of need. The AHL has some of the NHL's young stars on display. 12 of the teams take to the ice on Sunday while everyone else is watching football.

The lockout continues to be a stalemate, as the NHL and the NHLPA avoid the HRR discussion like Lindsay Lohan avoids rehab. Puck heads around the world are mourning the loss of the first two weeks of the NHL season. Fans are in need of a hockey fix and the AHL is more than happy to oblige.

The American Hockey League kicked off it's season this weekend with the most talented group of minor leaguers seen since, well, the last lockout. On the docket for Sunday, Oct. 13 are six games featuring some of the NHL's current and future stars.

Having even more time on their hands than necessary, all of our NHL blogs are covering their team's affiliate. It could be the best writing the AHL has seen since, well, again, the last lockout.
