Evan Habeeb-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire
The Ravens' defensive back went down, grabbing his knee after making a cut while defending Dez Bryant.
The Ravens obviously thought highly enough of Lardarius Webb to give him six years and $52.74 million. So to see him go down -- especially on a non-contact injury -- just six weeks into the 2012 season is cause for alarm.
The Baltimore cornerback was defending Dez Bryant on a route, but crumpled, grabbing his right knee a few yards away from Bryant. The initial prognosis is a sprain, and Webb was on the turf for over a minute before being helped off the field. The full extent of the injury is still to be seen, but it's hard to believe Webb will be back in action today.
With regards to the Cowboys, the injury to the Ravens' talented defensive back could provide a little extra help as Tony Romo hopes to improve on what's been a rough few weeks.
