Russia are heavy favorites on Tuesday and should comfortably defeat Azerbaijan to extend their perfect run.
Fresh off their impressive and important 1-0 win over Portugal, Russia will expect a big win on Tuesday over Azerbaijan. While letdowns are always a very real possibility after a win like the one Russia pulled out, Azerbaijan are a relatively poor side, and it would be shocking to see Fabio Capello's side deliver anything but all three points.
Russia are currently perfect in the group, and they might have to keep that up until they travel to Portugal next June. While Israel and Northern Ireland are decent enough to provide a bit of opposition, it would be stunning to see either Russia or Portugal slip up before that meeting. Any dropped points for Russia would put Portugal back in control of their own destiny.
Capello has fielded a very similar team in all of Russia's qualifying matches and isn't expected to make any significant changes for Tuesday's game.
Game date/time: Tuesday, 8 p.m. local time, 11 a.m. ET
Venue: Luzhniki Stadium, Moscow, Russia
TV: ESPN Deportes
Online: ESPN3
