TCU will unveil some swanky chrome helmets against Iowa State. There's no reason why.
If the Oregon Ducks have taught us anything about college football, it's that there's never a bad time to break out an alternate uniform, no matter how dumb. The TCU Horned Frogs are taking that idea and running with it, as they will unveil some chrome helmets in their upcoming game against the Iowa St. Cyclones.
Stefan Stevenson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram tweeted out a picture of the special helmets on Tuesday.
ALL HAIL THE CHROME HYPNOTOAD. Perhaps the idea is to try to make their opponents trip balls at all the crazy reflections? Or maybe they're just trying to court A$AP Rocky with their hellacious swag.
