The Bowling Green Falcons spoiled Massachusetts' homecoming, dispatching the Minutemen 24-0 on Saturday afternoon at Gillette Stadium.

Offense was hard to come by for UMass which was shut down by Bowling Green's defense, recording only 119 total yards. The Falcons also forced four turnovers, two interceptions each against UMass' two quarterbacks, including a pick-six by Dwayne Woods for 48 yards.

The Minutemen were unable to get anything going in the passing game, finishing with only 34 passing yards. Quarterback Mike Wegzyn, who was 9-of-25 for 24 yards, was replaced by A.J. Doyle and did not fair any better against the Bowling Green secondary.

The win moves Bowling Green to 5-3 overall and 3-1 in the MAC. UMass, meanwhile, remains the only winless team in the East, falling to 0-7 overall.
