Matt Cashore-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish used a steady dose of Cierre Wood, George Atkinson and Cam McDaniel on the ground to breeze pass the Miami Hurricanes in a 41-3 victory.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish resumed their rivalry against the Miami Hurricanes, and they were clearly the superior team in a 41-3 smackdown in Soldier Field in Chicago. Here are the video highlights.

You might be seeing a lot of running in this highlights, because that's pretty much all Notre Dame had to do to blow past Miami. Notre Dame rushed for 376 yards on the ground on 51 carries for an average of 7.4 yards per carry. George Atkinson broke 123 yards on ten carries and scored a touchdown, while Cierre Wood added 118 yards on 18 carries and two more touchdowns. Cam McDaniel also put up 55 yards on 11 carries and another touchdown.

Everett Golson was effective through the air for Notre Dame, throwing for over 186 yards and moving the football down to the red zone for one of the Notre Dame running backs to punch it into the end zone.
