Bengals running back Bernard Scott sustained a knee injury and is not expected to return to the game.
The injury bug bit the Bengals offense severely in the first half, as running back Bernard Scott sustained a knee injury and is not expected to return to the game against the Miami Dolphins.
Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green also limped off the field late in the second quarter with a left ankle injury, but the star wideout is expected to return.
Scott was the only real bright spot for the Bengals in the early going, carrying the ball five times for 40 yards in the first half.
The Dolphins had, for the most part, managed to shut down Green in the first half, holding him to just four catches for 26 yards as the Bengals struggled to just six first-half points.
Scott, the backup to BenJarvus Green-Ellis, had only carried the ball five times for -5 yards so far this season, and was inactive for the Bengals' game last week against Jacksonville.
