Cashmere Wright led the Bearcats in scoring with 16 points. Justin Jackson led the team with 11 rebounds. Junior-college transfer Titus Rubles made his Cincinnati debut and contributed eight points and seven rebounds off the bench in 16 minutes. Jeremy Washington led the Skyhawks with 15 points. Three other players scored in double figures for Tennessee-Martin.
The game against the Skyhawks was the first of four against unranked opponents at home for the Bearcats. Cincinnati's next opponent is Mississippi Valley State on Tuesday at Fifth Third Arena at 7 p.m.
