The Jacksonville Jaguars travel to Houston to face the Texans Sunday.
Two teams headed in opposite directions meet Sunday when the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars square off at Reliant Stadium. At 8-1, the Texans have won three in a row and are tied for the best record in the NFL. The Jaguars, on the other hand, are 1-8 and have lost six straight games.
Houston is coming off one of its biggest wins of the season, a 13-6 victory over the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field. The Texans held Chicago to eight first downs and forced four turnovers, handing the Bears just their second loss of the season. Houston has been one of the best defensive teams in the NFL this season, ranking second in total defense -- 281.6 yards per game allowed -- and third in points allowed -- 15.9 per game.
As good as the Texans have been on defense, the Jaguars have been just as bad on offense. Jacksonville ranks dead last in total offense and scoring, averaging 263.6 yards and 14.1 points per game. The Jags haven't been much better on the defensive side of the ball. They've given up 389.1 yards and 27.3 points per game. Those numbers rank 27th and 26th in the NFL, respectively.
