Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe suffered a head injury during his team's 28-6 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals Sunday. No official announcement on the injury has been made.
Bowe left the game against the Bengals in the second quarter after jumping for a pass and landing hard on his head. Bowe was examined by trainers on the sideline before he left for the locker room. He later re-emerged without his helmet and missed the rest of the game.
Bowe didn't make a catch against Cincinnati, and he was targeted by quarterback Matt Cassel just twice. Terrance Copper replaced the wide receiver and caught three passes for 33 yards. This season, Bowe has 49 catches for 626 yards and three touchdowns.
The loss dropped Kansas City to 1-9. Next up for the Chiefs is a rivalry game against the Denver Broncos on Sunday, Nov. 25. Kickoff from Arrowhead Stadium is set for noon CT, and the game will be televised on CBS.
