Breeders' Cup 2012 Juvenile Fillies Turf Results: Flotilla wins for France

Jeff Gross

The French-bred trained Flotilla unleashed a strong late kick to win the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf.

Flotilla (FR), running her first race in North America after four events in her native France, took command with a furlong en route to winning the 2012 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf at Santa Anita. Watsdachances (IRE) put forth a game effort to finish second while Summer of Fun finished third. Tara From The Cape set the early pace but faded to fourth at the wire.

The Pick 3, with two $30+ winners in the first two legs, paid $1,747.65 for a $0.50 base wager.

Two fillies scratched out of the race in the morning - Sustained and Moulin de Mougin.

Flotilla is a two-year-old daughter of Mizzen Mast, trained by Mike Delzangles and ridden by Christophe Lemaire.
