Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Laurent Robinson is set to return to active status this Sunday when the Jags host the Detroit Lions at EverBank Field (1:00 p.m., FOX). Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times-Union reports that Jacksonville head coach Mike Mularkey has pronounced Robinson active for Sunday's game.
As previously reported by Alfie Crow of SB Nation's Big Cat Country, Robinson has practiced at full speed this week in preparation for Sunday's matchup. The wide receiver inked a five-year, $32.5-million deal with Jacksonville to give quarterback Blaine Gabbert another receiving option, but has appeared in only four games due to multiple concussions.
Robinson has nine catches for a total of 134 yards this season, and has yet to notch his first touchdown in a Jacksonville uniform. The Jaguars are the fourth team to use the speedy wideout from Illinois State; Robinson has previously played for the Atlanta Falcons, St. Louis Rams and Dallas Cowboys.
O'Halloran also reports that running backs Greg Jones and Montell Owens have been ruled out of Sunday's contest.
