The Arizona Cardinals seem to be in for a rough game against the visiting St. Louis Rams, according to expert picks.
The St. Louis Rams head to Arizona as relative favorites over the Cardinals, as both teams have gone more than six weeks without a win. The Rams have not won since a 17-3 victory over the Cardinals in Week 5, while Arizona has yet to recover from that disappointing loss.
It's a matchup between two teams with significant issues on offense and at quarterback, and as such is not expected to be much of a barnburner. Joel Thorman of SB Nation doesn't have much to say about the game, either:
Who was the fool who thought the Rams would be competing for a playoff spot this year? Oh. Me. It may not be the playoffs, but they will give Arizona their seventh straight loss on Sunday afternoon.
The pick: 19-17, Rams
The Rams are also a unanimous pick with the experts at CBSSports.com, with even the "prediction machine" siding with St. Louis. The experts also pick in favor of the Rams against the spread, with the Cardinals as 2.5-point favorites in the game.
Those at ESPN aren't so convinced, however, with six of the 14 experts picking the Cardinals over the Rams at home. Yahoo! Sports agrees, with Les Carpenter picking the Cardinals while Mike Silver and Jason Cole go with the road team.
Kickoff is set for 4:25 p.m. ET with regional coverage on Fox.
