Manning took advantage of a depleted Packers defense and threw for 249 yards and three touchdowns, all to different receivers. The offense was particularly efficient in the red zone, going 5-for-6 and scoring 31 points in the first half.
Defensively, the Giants front four dominated Green Bay at the line of scrimmage, sacking Aaron Rodgers five times and pressing receivers off the snap to make them uncomfortable. The strong play on both sides of the ball is a credit to the coordinators, according to Big Blue View:
Kevin Gilbride on offense and Perry Fewell on defense had great nights. Gilbride mixed formations, changed some tendencies, reached a little deeper into the playbook and had the packers' defense off-balance all night.
The win puts to rest questions of New York's play in November and late in the season and gives the Giants a two-game lead in the NFC East. Still, they have work to do if they want to avoid struggling again down the stretch.
