"He's not going to be able to play again. He's not going to be able to even run again."
Mark Herzlich was a First Team All-American and ACC Defensive Player of the Year in 2008, leading Boston College with 110 tackles as a junior. Even though he was projected as a top-15 pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, he returned to the Eagles for his senior season. But then the unthinkable happened: Herzlich was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer.
At this point, Herzlich's story is well known, but no less remarkable -- a truly inspiration tale of survival. In this new episode of "In The Zone" with Dhani Jones, Herzlich details the time he was first diagnosed, his battle just to play football, the time he learned he was cancer-free, and what it's like to win a Super Bowl.
