Donnie Avery collided with a Dolphin defender and left the game with a hip injury
Colts wide receiver Donnie Avery left Sunday's matchup against the Dolphins in the third quarter with a hip injury. His return to the game is questionable. Avery has five catches for 108 yards so far this afternoon.
On a third-and-25, Avery streaked down the left sideline in pursuit of an Andrew Luck pass, jumped into the air and collided with Miami's Nolan Carroll.
Avery collapsed hard onto the ground in obvious pain, clutching his left hip and groaning audibly.
The fourth-year player has 29 catches for 346 yards and a touchdown so far this season, and was having his best statistical day of the year so far.
The Colts lead the Dolphins, 20-17, in the third quarter.
