D.C. United vs. New York Red Bulls delayed due to snow (PHOTOS and GIFs)

Jeff Zelevansky

The second leg of the playoff matchup between New York Red Bulls and D.C. United has been delayed Wednesday night because of a snowstorm. The photos and GIFs are awesome (even if the playing conditions are not).

In advance of Superstorm Sandy, the MLS switched the home-and-home order of the two legs of the playoff matchup between D.C. United and New York Red Bulls. Originally, Wednesday night's second game was to be played in D.C., where it's currently chilly, in the low 40s, and precipitation-free. Instead, because of the scheduling adjustments, it's being played in New Jersey. And it's snowing there.

But wait, there's more proof of snow! In beautiful slo-mo GIF form ...

Oh man, slo-motion GIFs of snow (snow-motion GIFs?) are the absolute best.
