After a narrow win over Buffalo, St. Louis is back in the playoff chase.
Sunday's 15-12 win over Buffalo was not pretty, but when you combine it with the rest of the results around the NFC, the St. Louis Rams find themselves in the midst of the playoff chase with a 6-6-1 record. Each team has three games left to play, but the Rams are a game and a half behind the struggling Chicago Bears for the sixth and final playoff spot. St. Louis's tie with San Francisco could also either help or hurt them in the standings because it gives them a possible half game edge if they tie anyone in wins.
Turf Shows Times will take even an ugly win:
Yes, the Rams won...Huzzah! Playoff dreams live! Hurrah! But when it comes right down to it, if the Rams continue to play this way, a trip to the post season will be the fault of other team imploding more than it will be this team impressing. I've never felt this indifferent to a Rams win in all my years as a fan...
Chicago holds the last spot at 8-5 with Washington, Dallas and Minnesota each a half-game ahead of the Rams at 7-6. Tampa is also still barely in the hunt at 6-7.
St. Louis can still win the division, but it must win its final three games while San Francisco loses its final three.
