Russell Westbrook throws down tomahawk jam against Hornets

The Oklahoma City Thunder have struggled a bit on Wednesday night against the New Orleans Hornets, but Russell Westbrook at least got the crowd and his bench perked up early in the game with a powerful tomahawk jam. Westbrook dribbled around a pick set by Nick Collison, knifed through the lane and elevated as Anthony Davis and Ryan Anderson stared helplessly.

That's been just about the only highlight for Westbrook so far, who has shot just 2-of-11 from the field midway through the third quarter. He's tallied eight points on the night, which is second on the Thunder behind Kevin Durant's 14. New Orleans hasn't fared much better in what has been an ugly, low-scoring game, but Ryan Anderson has put up 12 points on 5-9 shooting, while under-the-radar rookie Brian Roberts has scored 10 points.

In his second game back from injury, Davis has just two points, one rebound and one steal in 11 minutes of playing time.
