The Eagles head into their Thursday Night Football home game against the Cincinnati Bengals with a fairly long list of inactives that includes their starting running back and quarterback. For a few weeks now, the Eagles will take the field with Nick Foles under center instead of Michael Vick, who was cleared to play after his concussion, but will be a healthy scratch. They will also be without running back LeSean McCoy in the backfield and tight end Brent Celek, who are also both still recovering from concussions. Safety Kurt Coleman is also on the inactive list due to a chest injury and defensive tackle Mike Patterson is out due to the fact that he's suffering from pneumonia. Also out for the Eagles are running back Chris Polk, due to injury, and wide receiver Greg Salas and offensive tackle Matt Kopa are healthy scratches.
For the Bengals, rookie cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick is out due to a concussion, along with kicker Mike Nugent, who suffered a calf injury and running back Cedric Peerman, who injured his ankle. Also out for the Bengals are safety George Iloka, defensive tackle Devon Still, defensive tackle Brandon Thompson and tight end Richard Quinn. Defensive end Michael Johnson, who has 8.5 sacks on the season was questionable coming into Thursday night's game, but will be active.
The Bengals are looking for a win to put them at 8-6, which would keep them in the AFC Wild Card hunt as they're currently tied with the Steelers for the sixth and final spot (the Steelers hold the tie breaker). The Eagles come into the game with a 4-9 record, tied for the worse in the NFC, but are coming off a 23-21 win over the Buccaneers.
