The Knicks' star has 22 points after one quarter.
Oh boy, you guys. Carmelo Anthony is at it again. Put it this way: When you put up a heat check three minutes into the game, you know you have it going. Anthony scored 22 points in the first quarter of the team's game against the Los Angeles Lakers on TNT, including this massive dunk over Jordan Hill.
Real cute, Jordan. You thought you were strong enough to meet Anthony at the rim. That was a nice thought.
To be fair, Anthony has been aided by some horrendous Lakers defense. On one play, three Lakers were back, and Anthony still went baseline for an easy three-point play. But Anthony is also locked in, and Metta World Peace has no chance trying to stop him. With 22 points already, one could easily see Anthony reaching 50 by the time this one is said and done, assuming the game actually stays relatively close.
