Mike D'Antoni kick-saves a possession

The Lakers' coach has quick feet.

The Los Angeles Lakers have to be willing to do whatever it takes to get back into the game against the New York Knicks. Therefore, I applaud Mike D'Antoni's decision to join the court as a sixth man and kick away a Knicks possession. Very Machiavellian.

(What actually happened: the Knicks tried to throw a pass back, and D'Antoni wandered onto the court enough for the ball to be deflected off his foot. The referee said the ball went out of bounds off the Knicks, and Kobe Bryant scored a layup on the ensuing possession).
