Here's how he reacted after missing a potential game-tying three-point attempt.
There was a lot of fail in the Oklahoma City Thunder's final possession against the Miami Heat. It started when Kevin Martin barely got the ball in. It continued when Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook ran into each other trying to execute a dribble handoff. It ended with Durant missed a stepback three, the Thunder getting the rebound and Westbrook missing a semi-open three while thinking he got fouled.
In short, it was ugly. And when it was done, Westbrook did not hesitate to show his emotions.
You can understand Westbrook's frustration on some level, but the fact is that he lost his cool. He just wasn't going to get that foul call in that situation. Worse, Kendrick Perkins decided to run to complain to the referee instead of going after another offensive rebound. Neither of those things actually helped.
Ultimately, it's just one regular-season game, but that was not the ending the Thunder envisioned.
