Pacquiao vs Marquez: Mike Tyson gives his thoughts on the match-up, judging and the state of boxing

Mike Tyson offers his thoughts on Manny Pacquiao's fourth fight with Juan Manuel Marquez.

Mike Tyson has managed to find some goodwill in the boxing world after a career defined by violence, arrests and bizarre behavior outside the ring. The former heavyweight king spoke to Fight Hub's Marcos Villegas ahead of tonight's HBO pay-per-view bout between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez and had a lot to say about judging and the state of the sport.

Here's what Tyson said when asked about the history between Pacquiao and Marquez:

This is what I have to say. They always have great fights. The fighters are no problem. But we always have problems with the judges. The judges is what the problem is. So, until we get some government function to oversee boxing, it's always going to be who they want to win is going to win. Because this is the most corrupt sport and unorganized profession in the history of professions. And just the fact that the government won't oversee it is bad taste in itself. And that's the reason that this is one of the fights that turned people away from boxing. This is the only fight that people look forward to, to see Marquez and Pacquiao fight. Everything else is really not that happening right now. So when they did that with boxing, that's bad. We have to see what the judges are going to do tonight. You don't know who's going to win. We need to find out who is judging the fight and were they judging the fights the last time these guys fought.

Marcos then asked Mike who he scored the first three fights for and got this as a kinda, sorta answer:

Listen, I'm gonna tell you one thing. I was at one fight where Pacquiao won by one point and I don't understand that. I don't know how a guy can win by one point. I just don't know how that works. But it does, it does. One point? How do you win by one point? How do you do that? It's a draw! How do you win by one point? You just don't do that. Win by one point? A guy is one point better that you? How are you one point better than someone? It doesn't exist. So um...we have better judging and we'll get better decisions. The fighters are great, the fighters are awesome. But we need better judging.
