Read More: Peyton Manning (QB - DEN), Indianapolis Colts, Seattle Seahawks
Another day, another team that makes perfect sense for Peyton Manning. In reality, a dozen or more teams make perfect sense for Manning. Franchise quarterbacks rarely hit the market, even ones with injury questions, like Manning.
The latest team causing chatter around the league is the Seattle Seahawks.Dan Pompei of National Football Post reports that talk around the league is that the Seahawks will be strongly involved in the Manning sweepstakes.
Pete Carroll needs a quarterback and is believed to have a strong interest in at least exploring Manning. The Seahawks could offer Manning an attractive scenario. They have a young team with some fine skill players to put around him. They play in one of the league's loudest stadiums. Manning wouldn't be subject to the same kind of scrutiny in Seattle that he would in a lot of other markets.
Another reason: the Seahawks' medical staff includes Stan Herring, who is one of the top spine specialists in the league and is a member of the NFL's Head, Neck and Spine committee.
The problem with predicting a landing spot for Manning is that we still don't know what his health status is. Nobody truly knows what will happen. Everyone is guessing, some with more information than others.
