Read More: Peyton Manning (QB - DEN), Indianapolis Colts
The saga of Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning took a few twists and turns during Super Bowl week as there were reports of Manning being "cleared to play" and counter reports of Manning now having a "noodle arm". Despite all of that however, Manning has been spotted working out at Duke University with family friend and adviser, David Cutcliffe.
The disclosure came from Duke offensive lineman Matt Skura, who posted this afternoon on Twitter that he "[g]ot to stretch next to Peyton Manning."
The development, if accurate, indicates a couple of things. First, it bolsters the notion that Manning currently is less focused on his neck and more focused on his throwing. Second, it suggests that Manning feels more comfortable away from the team facility, which will serve only to increase speculation of an imminent divorce.
This would seem to indicate Manning is preparing and focused on getting back to football, regardless if he's released by the Colts or not. A few weeks ago, Manning said that the Colts facility wasn't a good place for healing right now and that's likely because the Colts doctors have to monitor him while he's working out. At the Duke facility, he can work out on his own without doctors breathing down his neck the entire time.
