This year I wrote the player rankings and evaluations for the USA Today 2012 NFL Draft magazine. It's on newsstands now and available online here. Leading up to the draft, I'll be reprinting some of my quick reports here.
Patrick Witt, Yale
Height: 6'3, Weight: 220 pounds
Strengths: Witt, a Nebraska transfer, has nice size for the position and obvious intelligence (had a Rhodes Scholarship interview that was reportedly rescinded) Good enough athleticism to move the pocket. Goes through his progressions.
Weaknesses: Uses a low, sidearm release. Arm strength isn’t impressive because he doesn’t get his whole body into throws. Questionable production compared to competition.
