Now that the Indianapolis Colts have officially announced the departure of Peyton Manning we move onto the question everyone wants to know: where will he play in 2012? There are the favorites -- the Dolphins and Redskins -- and then there are some darkhorse candidates.
SB Nation's Brad Wells, who runs Stampede Blue, has a surprise candidate for Manning's next destination in SB Nation's latest YouTube offering:
The Broncos have been brought up by others and, while they're certainly not among the favorites, I can see why they'd be considered a dark horse candidate. John Elway was once an aging quarterback who managed to pull in a couple of Super Bowls.
Wells also brought up another good point: if Manning wins a Super Bowl with another team, is he the greatest quarterback of all time? He may not have the Super Bowl victories of a Tom Brady but winning it all with two teams would be very, very impressive.
