Tim Tebow held his annual golf tournament at TPC Sawgrass this week, benefitting his foundation. Celebrity friends of Tebow's showed up, including Bubba Watson, fresh off his Masters win. Perhaps inspired by the words of Fred Durst, a Florida woman paid $100,000 to spend a day with everyone's favorite back-up quarterback at the benefit auction after the tournament. The woman asked to remain anonymous, but as you'd expect, Tebow is quite humbled by the insane large bid. The executive director of Tebow's foundation shed some light on how the winning bidder plans to spend her day with Timmy:
"She felt that bringing Timmy to her town down there would maybe change the town. She cleared it with Timmy and it sounds like she's going to have a little event where she brings some of the kids who are in need and some of the kids who are deserving. We'd prefer not to say who they are, but they have a place in the Keys, which is where he's going to go."
No word yet on what Greg McElroy, the Jets other back-up quarterback, fetched at his charity auction.
