The 2012 NFL Draft is just around the corner, and to get you prepared for all the craziness that is about to ensue, SB Nation's Dan Rubenstein and Josh Dodd invited me (the silent partner here at Mocking The Draft) on as a guest for a special pre-draft podcast.
Topics we discussed:
- Team draft needs
- Where Ryan Tannehill will get drafted
- Value of runningbacks
- Coby Fleener
- Possible second round prospects Alshon Jeffery and Mohamed Sanu
- The Browns potentially punting the 2012 season to get USC's Matt Barkley next year
- Guards David DeCastro and Cordy Glenn
- Best value picks in the draft
The podcast is pretty jammed full of pre-draft goodness. Also, I have to say, I've gotten to know Dan Rubinstein (formerly of Sports Illustrated) these past few months, working with him and Matt Ufford at SBN Studios. Rubenstein is an extremely knowledgeable college football analyst. He seems to enjoy doing the fun, goofy sports videos that SBN Studios is pumping out (and many are indeed funny, including this one dedicated to one of my FAVORITE ALL-TIME GAMES: TECMO Super Bowl!), and his ability to evaluate and breakdown college football talent is very strong. I've learned a lot about certain players in this draft based on conversations I've had with Dan off camera.
Of course, Dan Rubinstein is no Dan Kadar (though, from my perspective, their opinions on players are remarkably similar).
Hope you enjoy the podcast. Oh, and they didn't save any beer for me either.
